šŖ Undeniably Underrated
While the stars of the WSL shine bright āØ, itās the unsung heroes doing the dirty work that make the teams tick. According to their own teammates, players like Arsenal's Kim Little, Chelsea's Erin Cuthbert, and Man City's Yui Hasegawa are the stealthy playmakers š© who deserve way more credit! These players quietly pull the strings, making magic happen in midfield šŖ or holding down the defense like true pros. From Lucy Staniforth at Aston Villa to Crystal Palaceās Shanade Hopcroft, whose footwork dazzles behind the scenes šāthese players are the heartbeat ā¤ļø of their squads, even if they donāt always get the spotlight.

š Banned but Not Investigated?
Rory Dames, once the head coach of the Chicago Red Stars and now permanently banned from the NWSL, has been removed from SafeSportās public database, citing "insufficient evidence." š« The controversy kicked off when USA Today highlighted his missing name, and now The Washington Post has revealed that SafeSportās investigation was far from thoroughāfour of six accusers were never even contacted. š³ Despite being mentioned over 300 times in the 2022 Yates report on abusive coaching behaviors, the case has been put on hold. SafeSport, however, claims it can reopen the investigation if new evidence emerges. āļø
Dames remains banned for life, a grim reminder of the importance of holding individuals in positions of power accountable. šŖļø But with flawed investigations and unanswered allegations, it begs the question: is the system working to protect players, or just ticking boxes?

š°ļø Eidevallās Ticked
Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall isnāt mincing words after the last-minute postponement of Chelseaās clash with Manchester United š . The decisionāmeant to prioritize player welfare before Chelseaās Champions League matchāhas left fans and teams scrambling. Eidevall blasted the WSL for its "amateurish" handling of the situation, especially since Arsenal and Man City are still stuck with their jam-packed schedules šāāļø.
Eidevallās frustration comes from the fact that Arsenal will face a tough week: Everton on Sunday, Bayern Munich on Wednesday, and Chelsea right after. Meanwhile, Chelsea gets a free weekend to rest up. Is the league supporting its English teams in Europe or making life harder? Eidevall argues itās the latter, saying fans are also being shortchanged šļø. But despite the chaos, Eidevall says his team will dig deep and rise to the challenge šŖ.
